We are happy to offer our patients different types of braces. Below are the traditional silver braces usually preferred by children and teenagers. Many adults prefer the clear braces (shown below) as they are less noticeable.

Regular Braces Clear Braces

After having your braces removed, you will need to wear retainers.

We offer several different types of retainers. For most patients we recommend an upper removable (Hawley) retainer and a lower glued in (bonded) retainer. One benefit of the lower bonded retainer is that it is permanent and can't be removed by the patient and be lost, which can result in expensive replacement fees. It also helps hold the teeth in a steady position and is not visible, as it is located behind the front teeth. This retainer is not recommended for patients with poor oral hygiene as it is more difficult to clean and floss around.

Below are the different types of retainers we offer. A technician will discuss the pro's and con's of each retainer and discuss the doctors recommendation prior to having the braces removed.

Hawley's Sta-Vac's Bonded

At Seattle Orthodontics, we recommend Soni-care and we are happy to be able to sell it to our patients at a reduced fee.
